Is it safe to donate my sperm?

I recently stumbled on a paper calling for people to donate their sperm to the Sperm Bank of a Teaching Hospital. I was told that the sperm is needed to help infertile couples to have children. Although I am ready to help people who cannot conceive, my problem is that I am afraid in case my sperm is used for juju or something that will affect me in future.
