For Habeen Okikiola, otherwise known as Portable, the journey to the top that usually takes many of his peers several years to achieve has taken him less than six months to become one of Nigeria’s most talked about music artiste.
From releasing a smashing single, Zazoo Zeh that made him favourite of street music enthusiasts and earned him several opportunities to be on different music stages alongside top notch Nigerian music stars across the country, it may not be wrong to say fame and fortune came early for the Biza Biza crooner.
Despite many controversies trailing his quick rise to stardom, Portable who is currently in London for a music tour sponsored by socialite and founder of Five Star Music, E-Money, Portable said many people who wrote him off because of his outward appearance have silently been coming back to ask him for one favour or the other.
The singer who landed in London during the week will be performing at Birmingham, Manchester; London among other cities was well received by friends and fans as he was seen displaying wards of cash he received from his fans and admirers.
With mouthwatering endorsement deals from brands and constants shows, Portable said he wants to keep making every moment count for him just as he said he is not a one-hit artiste, insisting the he will continue to drop more hits.
Speaking about his life and how quick things have changed for him, he said he could not have prayed for a better time in life than now, adding that his life has changed and can’t remain the same again.
According to him, “I am in London and I am having the best time of my life. This is the same trip somebody said he would not make happen because they feel they are the only ones who could handle it. Today, I am here and I am also planning a US tour after this UK tour. This is God’s grace speaking and I am grateful to God and nice people supporting the movement”, he added.
