The suspected, Osabuohien Aghimien, Osamudiamen Stephen and Victory Osayomwan, who were paraded at the Edo State headquarters of NSCDC, said they had carnal knowledge of the girl “two rounds” each.
They, however, insisted that the affair was consensual and that the 14-year-old girl agreed to the act.
Narrating their involvement in the saga, Osabuohien who claimed to be a mechanic apprentice said the victim was his girlfriend and that he took her to the house of his friend to pass the night.
He stated that it was after he had slept with the girl in the same room that his two other friends asked to sleep with the girl and she obliged them.
He said: “I was there when they had s*x with her. When my friend said he wanted to go in again, she agreed. It was the next day I went to their house that I was arrested.
“My friend wanted to give her money but I refused.”
On his part, Stephen said the s*x romp took place in his room.
He explained that his friend told them that the girl was a prostitute he picked up.
Asked for if he knew the girl was an underage, he said he would not know the girl’s age but he saw that she was quite young.
He said: “He told us the girl was his ashawo (prostitute). So we all slept with her. She did not cry at all. He said we should use her for the night. We did not give her money.”
Victory stated that he requested to have s*x with the teenager and she agreed.
Commandant of NSCDC in Edo State, Makinde Iskil Ayinde, said the suspects would soon be handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.
