People’s 93.1 FM in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has recently won six awards at the Bayelsa Media Awards 2023.
The awards won by the radio station were: Best Station, People’s 93.1 FM; Best programme, Democratic Watch; Best Reporter, Isaac Eyedoude; Best Newscaster, Amananaowei Icon; Best DJ, DJ Momeni; and Best Pidgin Presenter, Ochemba Sunday.
The Executive Manager of the radio station, Chinemenma Umeseaka, while appreciating its listeners, partners, customers, staff and management of the company, stated that she had barely spent seven months on the job but they are achieving wonderful results.
“My staff is hungrier than ever and is more gingered to take Peoples’ FM to the next level,” she added. “Peoples’ FM is gradually increasing our entertainment value and we appreciate the recognition and the attention.”
Umeseaka also appreciated the entertainment brands that hosted and celebrated her and her staff for winning the awards. The brands were Visco Entertainment, Hamilton Lounge, Club 64, Club Bara, among others.
