Peace Corps flush out 7 illegal officers in Nasarawa

peace corps of NigeriaTHE Nasarawa State Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Bala Joshua said the corps has flushed out 7 illegal officers in the ongoing verification exercise organized to ascertain genuine officers.

Joshua who disclosed this on Monday, in Lafia, while speaking to newsmen said some of the affected officers lack the requirements to belong to the force.

He explained that, some of the affected officers were using certificates of family relations to gain employment into the force.

Speaking on the focus of the corps after its passage by the National Assembly, the Commandant said, that the corps would use dialogue as a tool to maintaining peace and order in the state and country at large.

He explained that, a seminar would be organized for youths from various communities to intimate them on the importance of peace.

The commandant, dispelled insinuations that the corps is at loggerhead with sister agencies, saying, it is a normal thing for other security outfit to be unsettled when there is a new invention in the field.
