Meanwhile, the Peoples’ Democratic. Party (PDP) in the state, on Monday, kicked against the judgment of Justice Adesola Sadiq over the dissolution of the elected local government chairmen in state,
The party described the judgment as most unfortunate, saying the judge “compromised the law, rules and order of the court to perpetrate illegality”
The elders of the party, while addressing a press conference, condemned the hasty dissolution of the local government chairmen because the current administration in the state needed legitimacy to persecute an illegal action.
Speaking on behalf of the elders, Chief Segun Adegoke, described the manner in which Justice Sadiq handled the matter as unprofessional
.“He also contrived with those who initiated this action to shop for a counsel to prosecute a case he did not initiate and when finally the lawyer who initiated the case appeared before him to claim owners of the case he shut him out”
Adegoke said further that “it is important to state that Justice Sadiq refused blatantly to avail us an opportunity to be heard in this matter, he did not allow our lawyer access to certified true copies of court papers.”
The party also expressed disappointment in the government of Akeredolu, saying despite being a one-time President of Nigerian Bar Association and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, contrived to the abuse of the judicial system by committing institutional rape in the expediency of political machination.
The party however vowed to contest the development at the Court of Appeal to ensure that the perfidious contraption that the judgement of Justice Sadiq represent and the action of the state government is reversed.
