When Senator Abiola Ajimobi got elected as the Executive Governor of Oyo state, there was no gainsaying that the state was in a very messy situation in all areas of life.
Upon his assumption of office in May 29, 2011, Governor Abiola Ajimobi started surgical operations on all of these and in a matter of months, it was the birth of a new dawn.
Education got a boost with the recruitment of teachers and an instruction to all local government areas in the state to produce 100,000 pieces of note books while salaries of both the teaching and non teaching staff were paid promptly.
The trend continued till 2015 general elections. This, no doubt, was among the factors that made Senator Ajimobi to get a second term ticket in the state, a feat that people considered unprecedented.
Now that the hard working governor is preparing to leave office in May 29,2019, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has unanimously nominated a young, vibrant and upward mobile Chief Abdulwaheed Adebayo Adelabu as its governorship candidate.
