In preparation for the local government election in Osun State, the State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) on Friday hinted that it has scheduled training for shortlisted ad hoc workers that will participate in the exercise.
The commission, which made the disclosure in a statement in Osogbo by its Information Officer, Sadiat Isiaka, said the training for Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs) started on Friday, February 7, and continued today Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Fakunle Comprehensive High School, Stadium Roundabout, Osogbo.
It said, “The Presiding Officers (POs) and Poll Clerks (PCs) will undergo training on Saturday, February 8, and Sunday, February 9, 2025, at designated government schools in various local government areas.
“Shortlisted candidates for these positions are expected to attend training in their preferred local government area of choice, residence, or origin, depending on accessibility.
“Upon completion of the training, successful candidates will be assigned to local government areas as determined by the commission and Shortlisted candidates are advised to check the updated list on OSSIEC’s official website, www.ossiec.org, for further details.”
