Mrs Osinbajo, who stated this in Abuja, stressed that the focus should be on how to make the idea of mines to market a win-win for all parties concerned.
According to her, the outcome would produce tangible result and impact positively on the populace.

In his own remarks, the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi, who spoke on the issue of security of mines, said the institutional capacities of the ministry and its agencies had been strengthened to effectively regulate the sector, with a particular focus on mines safety and security.
“A new partnership has been forged with the Ministry of Interior and the Nigeria Police Force to establish the Mining Police as provided for in the law. This has led to a number of high profile arrests of expatriate illegal miners and their Nigerian conspirators”, he said.
