All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and immediate past South-South Publicity Secretary of the ruling party, Dr Blessing Agbomhere, has hailed the developmental strides of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, describing the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, security and environmental management as unprecedented in the state’s history.

Agbomhere said Governor Okpebholo’s performance since assuming office in November 2024 has demonstrated purposeful leadership and a clear commitment to transforming Edo State through people-oriented projects and policies.

In a statement personally signed by him, the legal practitioner pointed to the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of critical road infrastructure across the state as evidence of the governor’s determination to drive sustainable development.

He specifically cited the construction of the Ramat Park Flyover in Benin City, describing it as a landmark project that has become a symbol of visionary governance.

According to him, the flyover, situated at the strategic Ramat Park corridor linking the Benin-Auchi and Benin-Asaba expressways, is designed to permanently address traffic congestion and improve transportation within the state.

“Governor Monday Okpebholo has, within a short period in office, demonstrated uncommon courage, vision and commitment to the development of Edo State,” Agbomhere stated.

He added that the rehabilitation of sections of Sapele Road and other strategic roads across Edo was restoring public confidence in government while improving the quality of life of residents.

Agbomhere also commended the administration’s investments in drainage infrastructure, noting that the projects were helping to tackle flooding and other environmental challenges that have affected several communities over the years.

“His administration’s achievements in infrastructure, security, environmental management and public service delivery have set a new benchmark for governance in our state,” he said.

On security, Agbomhere praised Governor Okpebholo for strengthening collaboration with security agencies through the provision of logistics and operational support.

According to him, the interventions have enhanced security across the state, boosted investor confidence and created a more conducive environment for economic activities.

He maintained that the governor’s commitment to infrastructural renewal, security enhancement and environmental sustainability had ushered in a new era of development in Edo State.

The UBIIJUS Intelligence chief assured the governor of his continued support in advancing policies and programmes geared towards sustainable development, environmental protection and improved living standards for Edo people.

He also urged residents of the state to continue supporting the administration’s development agenda, expressing confidence that Governor Okpebholo’s people-centred policies would deliver even greater dividends of democracy in the years ahead.

“The ongoing projects across Edo State clearly reflect a government determined to address longstanding challenges and improve the welfare of its citizens,” Agbomhere said. “With sustained support from the people, the administration will achieve even greater milestones in the years ahead.”
