The umbrella body of all Yoruba youth organisations, Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA), has named the Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Dr Babatunde Adeyemo, as the ‘Yoruba Youth Humanitarian Icon’ of the year 2023.
This is coming just a few days after Adeyemk was inducted as the ECOWAS Youth Ambassador.
YYA said Adeyemo was recognised for his passion for community and youth empowerment as well as support to the underprivileged members of the society through his Oko Opo Foundation, a non-governmental organisation among other communities service projects.
The socio-ethnic group noted that it had paid more than passive interest in Adeyemo’s personality as a pragmatic and visionary leader in real estate practice.
YYA in a letter signed by its President, Thomas Olarinde and Secretary-General, Lukman Olawoyin stated further that Adeyemo would be inducted into Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo Hall of Fame for his exceptional leadership qualities.
It will be recalled Adeyemo, an anti-corruption ambassador, recently connected the Arobiologbo community without public power for over six decades to the national grid and also celebrated his 44th birthday with Ibara prisons inmates among other palliatives extended to the underprivileged in the society.
