GOVERNORSHIP candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has said that his deputy governorship candidate, Engr (Mrs) Nimot Salako-Oyedele, will supervise the State Ministry of Works if elected into office.
He spoke against the background of advice given to him by the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Kayode Adetona, during his visit to the monarch on Tuesday, that he should make not make his deputy a “spare tyre.”
Abiodun said his deputy as a certified civil engineer would bring to bare his wealth of experience in managing the works ministry, and ensure that all the bad roads in Ado-Odo/Ota council areas are repaired in the interest of the people.

The governorship candidate who was on the ward to ward campaign to the local government said roads rehabilitation has been listed as one of the priorities of his administration.
“I have gone around the major towns in your local government from Agbara to Lusada to Igbesa down to Ado here and I have seen the deplorable conditions of your roads. I can feel the agony of the residents of these areas and I want to assure you that we will address this condition immediately we are sworn in by the special grace of God.
“Let me also state categorically that my deputy who is a qualified civil engineer and daughter of this local government will oversee the ministry of works to ensure that all these deplorable roads are prioritized in our administration,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Olota in council appreciated the APC for picking their daughter as the running mate of Abiodun.
In his remarks, the Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, urged Abiodun to address all the challenges confronting Ota and its environs when he gets to office.
The monarch said, “I want to appreciate our incoming governor for his visit and we pray God Almighty will grant his heart desire. We are also using this medium to appeal to him to address the major challenges facing us as a people.
