Scores of Human Rights activists, on Tuesday, stormed the Yellow House Headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS), protesting against what they described as “the continued detention of the Publisher of the Sahara Reporter and Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Comrade Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare, another activist.”
The latest reports revealed that the Operatives of DSS have forcefully dispersed the protesters following the several gunshots that were fired into the air.

Armed Police personnel who later stormed the scene along with the DSS Operatives however succeeded in impounding most of the placards earlier displayed by the protesters
Also, some of the Activists told newsmen that their phones of different makes were impounded on flimsy excuses of using same to record the protest proceedings.
Efforts to speak with the spokesperson of the services, Dr Peter Afunanya, over the matter proved abortive as all the calls put to him were not returned.
