The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has cautioned job-seekers against online fraudulent recruitment advertisements, clarifying that it is not conducting any hiring process.
This was posted as a statement shared on NNPC official X handle on Friday.
The company urged Nigerians to disregard any unofficial job postings, emphasising that all legitimate vacancies would be announced exclusively through its verified channels.
The statement reads,

Reaffirming its stance, the nation’s oil company stressed that its hiring process remains ”transparent, merit-based, and requires no external assistance.”
The company further warned that misleading job adverts falsely linked to NNPC Ltd. could be part of scams designed to exploit unsuspecting applicants.
It advised the public to verify any recruitment-related information directly from its official platforms to avoid falling victim to fraud.
“We advise the public to always verify information directly from our official platforms to avoid being misled by scammers,” the statement added.
Additionally, the company urged individuals to report any suspicious recruitment advertisements to the relevant authorities, assuring Nigerians that it remains committed to upholding the integrity of its hiring process and will officially announce any recruitment when the time comes.
