Nigerians in the UK have mourned 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin, who was stabbed by a sword-wielding man in London.
In a tweet on the verified X account of the community, they sent their condolences to the family for their loss.
“Our deepest condolences to the family of the 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin who tragically lost his life yesterday. Our hearts are heavy with grief. Let’s come together as a community to offer our prayers and support during this difficult time.”
“Daniel Anjorin was knifed in his school uniform in Hainault, East London, on Tuesday by a sword-wielding man in a terrifying rampage that left four others injured. May his soul rest in peace.”
Daniel Anjorin lost his life on Tuesday after a man wielding a sword stabbed him, two police officers, and two other people in a street attack in East London.

Anjorin, a British-Nigerian pupil, attended Bancroft’s private school in Woodford Green. He was mortally wounded as he left his home to go to school when he was attacked by a man wielding what appeared to be a Samurai-type sword.
Police tasered and arrested the suspect, a 36-year-old man who remains in custody on suspicion of murder. He has not been named and was not previously known to police.
