The Ogbomosho First Community Initiative has appealed to all indigenes and residents of Ogbomoso to sue for peaceful coexistence and collaborate for the progress of the town and its environs.
This appeal was contained in a statement by the group’s president, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi, and general secretary, Funmi Asaolu, where it felicitated the new Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Afolabi Olaoye on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers.
The group urged all sons and daughters of Ogbomoso to pray for peace, progress and development of the town, Oyo State and the nation at large.
It particularly prayed that the reign of Oba Olaoye would be replete with peace, values of service and prosperity for Ogbomoso.
The group pledged its unalloyed support for the new monarch, assuring him of continued commitment to the development of Ogbomoso land.
The statement read: “It is with great joyfulness that we extend our congratulations to you on this momentous occasion as you begin your journey of service to Ogbomosoland.
“Our prayer is for your reign to be peaceful, filled with prosperity, guided by the values of service for effective leadership and also be a shining example to all.
“We felicitate with all sons and daughters of Ogbomosho land on this monumental development and pray for peace, progress and development of the domain, Oyo and the nation at large.
“We also appeal to all and sundry to embrace peaceful coexistence and collaboration for the progress of the city and its environs.
“May the Lord shower His blessings upon you and guide you every step of the way.”
