Banks afford students a means of survival and easy access to carry out financial transactions.
In this regard, the absence of banks in the Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa, Oyo State, poses a lot of challenges to the students of the institution.
The students are extremely concerned about the absence of banks in the area.
Student of the institution go as far as Ibadan to carry out banking transactions or use point of sales (POS) machines.
This is because there is only one bank in Eruwa.
But if there are banks in the school premises or around the area, it would be easier to carry out transactions and thus spend less money.
It is not only the student that will gain from the presence of banks in Eruwa; residents of Eruwa and its environs will also benefit from the facility.
The students would be glad if the government of Oyo State can address this critical need.
