Veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo, has expressed confidence that her contributions to and influence on the movie scene will never wane even if she doesn’t appear in movies as before.
The supporter of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last election, Peter Obi, insisted that she has come a long way in the movie industry and has paid her dues that will keep her relevant for many years.
Speaking in an interview with R, the actress disclosed that “when you have put in the work as much as I have done over the years, my influence will never wane because I studied Theatre. I studied Film. Apart from just studying, I have been practising them.”
She also reacted to the hike in petrol price following the removal of petroleum subsidy by President Bola Tinubu, saying that 13 years ago, former President Goodluck Jonathan said removal of fuel subsidy was necessary; they said it was a scam and he was clueless.
“Thirteen years after, the same people now understand the clueless, shoeless Ijaw man from Otuoke. Now that Tinubu has pronounced the fuel subsidy gone, what should they say?”
