Ebonyi Governor, Francis Nwifuru has promised to partner are ready to partner with Salt City Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (SALTCCIMA) for the development of the State.
Gov. Nwifuru disclosed this during the inauguration of (SALTCCIMA) and Investiture of her first President Barr. Chukwuemeka Eze.
The event held at Super Mike Hotel, Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the State was attended by the National President, Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and team, Hon. Commissioner for Commence and Industry Ebonyi State Chief Oguzor Nwali, Commissioner for Trade and Investment Chief Elechi Elechi.
Other attendees include the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources Princess Nkechinyere Iyioku, the Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development Mr. Chidi Onyia, Media, Security agencies, Traditional Rulers and many others.
Nwifuru represented by the Commissioner for Commence and Industry Uguzor OffiaNwali, assured (SALTCCIMA) that his government will provide peaceful and enabling environment for Investors.
According to him, the plans of SALTCCIMA are in line with the People’s Charter of Needs.
He however assured SALTCCIMA, of providing every support to make the chamber best in the South East region.
“I am happy to have another chamber of commerce in the state and I assure that my government through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will provide you with all the needed assistance because I believe that people have started to feel the impact of my administration within this short period and we are ready to partner with any project that would develop the state,” he said.
The President SALTCCIMA Mr. Chukwuemeka Eze in his acceptance speech, promised to work with the government to see that investors have a peaceful environment to thrive their businesses.
His words; “When government makes some business policies, sometimes the officials do not invite the businessmen rather the civil servants will sit in their offices and take decisions and for the fact that they are not businessmen, they will not understand what is actually needed in the system.
“But through this medium, we can approach them over whatever policy that needs to be reviewed to enable us breath as business men and women, it is in order to have an organized body that we established chamber of commerce,” he explained.
He added that SALTCCIMA is one of the seventy city chambers in Nigeria and one of the seventeen chambers in the South-East and stated that it was their impacts that attracted the government partnership.
Meanwhile, the pioneer Director-General, Dr. Emmanuel Nwafor added that SALTCCIMA is the second inaugurated chamber across the state in Ebonyi to ensure that all the entrepreneurs are provided with conducive environment and also appreciated everyone for gracing the event.
