A group of educational professionals recently paid a condolence visit to the popular Yoruba freedom fighter, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, in Cotonou, Benin Republic over the demise of his mother, Sikirat Abeo Adeyemo after six weeks of announcement.
The group of educationists expressed their heartfelt condolences to the son of the deceased, Sunday Igboho, his siblings and other family members while being urged to take solace in the fact that mama lived a purposeful and fulfilled life.
The group of educationists, however, prayed that God give Igboho, his siblings and other family members the fortitude to bear the loss. They also prayed that the Almighty grants the deceased who died on 22nd July 2023 a peaceful rest.
The visit was led by the Dean of Student Affairs, Espam -Formation University, Cotonou, Benin Republic, Dr. Akande Kazeem Babatunde, alongside the Registrar of Federal College of Agriculture Moor Plantation Ibadan, Dr Abass Abimbade, Registrar Ecolerite Institute of Peace Advancement, Dr Tayo Adegunju, Azeez Ogunyemi President Western Coast Maritime Academy, Captain Azeez Ogunyemi, and Ifeoluwa Akinluyi among others.
In his response, Chief Adeyemo expressed his profound gratitude to the education professionals for the visit while he also seized the opportunity to share some of the good memories he had with his late mother.
Adeyemo described his late mother as loving, spiritual-minded, all-embracing, nurturing, ever-supportive, encouraging and a source of inspiration.
The Yoruba freedom fighter, however, charged youths with continual support for the growth of their dear country.
During the visit, the group met the former leader of a Yoruba self-determination agitation group, Ilana Omo Oodua, Professor Banji Akintoye at Adeyemo’s residence in Cotonou while he also charged youths to relentlessly participate in the growth of the country.
