With the theme of this year’s ‘Worship Experience Live Extra’, hosted by Sam and Moji Alawiye, being ‘Oyo Xenial Youthful Generation Emerging Now’ (OXYGEN), the music concert has been targeted at young Nigerians, as the organisers believe the youths are the future of the nation.
Speaking at a press conference in Ibadan during the week to launch this year’s edition, Moji Alawiye said “We cannot live without oxygen, and looking at what the acronym OXYGEN stands for, it means there is a set of youths in Oyo State that we cannot live without. They are not just anyhow youths, they are not Youth known for internet fraud, kidnapping, or banditry. They are xenial youths, they are dedicated and patriotic, and this is the reason for this year’s ‘Worship Experience Live Extra’.”
Rev Sam Alawiye, husband to Moji Alawiye also reiterated that “the youths have always been part of the event all along; it is just that this year; more emphases will be on youth’s involvement and development through worship.”
The event which is slated for Friday 17th of September, will take place at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Liberty Road in Ibadan. Gospel ministers such as Elijah (Olorun O’sobe), Bukola Akinade, Tosin Martins, Buchi, David G, Kingsley Ike, Keneth Right and many more are expected to grace the occasion and with soul-lifting performances.
