A litigant has alleged members of the police of complacency in the handling of a suit involving MT/NT/671/C2023COP vs Adenle Kehinde, with the non-presentation of a prime suspect in court as required by the law.
Disturbed by the trend, the litigant, Mr. Akinwunmi Fowora has notified the AIG zone 11 through a petition with the development.
The litigant, Fowora had in a petition filed through his counsel, S.B. Fola esq of which a copy was made available to the Nigerian Tribune alleged the Oyo police command of inability to produce neither the suspect, one Mr Sola Adeoye nor his surety in court after being admitted to bail in accordance with the law.
The petitioner alleged that the non-presentation of the prime suspect in court has stalled the proceeding.
It was added that the proceedings in the matter had taken place twice at the Iyaganku Magistrate court, Ibadan without the presentation of the suspect, thereby, stalling the proceedings.
The petitioner, thereby, appealed to the AIG to investigate the matter with a view to apprehending the prime suspect.
“Please kindly assist in inviting the police officers concerned at the Intelligence Bureau, Police Headquarters, Ibadan for investigation of this matter.”
