They posited this last Friday during a meeting of the Board of Trustees of Remo Resource and Recreation Centre (3RC) with Oba Ajayi, at the Akarigbo’s Palace in Sagamu.
The leaders emphasized the need for a pressure group to advance the cause of the entire Remoland.
The Secretary of the Centre, Chief Kola Oyefeso, on behalf of other members explained the rationale behind the setting up of 3RC to the monarch, saying the Centre provides an avenue for all indigenes of Remoland to come under the same umbrella and generate ideas that would bring about progress.
He explained further that the concept was also to foster a healthy body and mind through sporting activities, among the indigenes and residents.
Oyefeso who is also one of the Trustees of the Centre said the support and assistance of the monarch were most needed by making 3RC a centre of excellence and a pride of place to all Remo indigenes.
“The concept of the 3RC is simply a one-stop centre established to promote Remo Agenda in all ramifications through organising seminars, symposiums, prosecuting the advancement of Remo interests and her indigenes wherever they may be, while simultaneously fostering a healthy body in a healthy mind through the promotion of intra and inter-social and sporting activities among indigenes, residents and friends alike.”
“We will need the assistance of our Royal Majesty in accessing high net worth individuals and big companies in Remoland to sponsor programmes for the Centre,” he added.
He also said that the Centre would decorate Oba Ajayi as its Grand Patron alongside other traditional rulers in Remoland as Patrons.
Responding, the monarch commended members of the Centre for the honour bestowed on him as its Grand Patron, while promising to work assiduously with them to actualise the vision of the Centre.
He agreed with the position of the leaders on the need for a platform to promote Remo Agenda.

“This is a worthy cause and I’m happy to be associated with the Centre. I am fully committed to the project and I will do anything within my power to make the vision of the founders achievable. I accept the honour of making me the Grand Patron of 3RC, ” the monarch added.
