Daniel Bwala, a Nigerian lawyer, vehemently denied any association with a female student from Lead British International School in Abuja who was reportedly bullied.
In a post shared on X on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024, Bwala clarified that the young girl in the video was not his daughter and that he did not enroll any children in the school.
Expressing his stance against violence and bullying, Bwala emphasised that he had promptly reported the incident to the police.
In his statement, Bwala commended the young girl’s composed demeanor in the face of adversity but asserted that if the victim had been his own child, he would have taken measures to defend her.
He underscored the importance of addressing such incidents in society and highlighted his proactive approach in involving law enforcement.
Bwala also revealed that he was alerted to the situation by someone who mistakenly believed the victim to be his daughter.
This prompted him to take swift action and report the matter to the authorities. Additionally, he expressed concern over the school’s response, indicating that their handling of the situation raised questions about the quality of education and values being imparted to students.

He wrote, ”My attention has been drawn to a viral video circulating on all social media platforms alleging that my daughter was bullied or assaulted.
For the records, the young girl in the video is not my daughter, I do not know her, nor do I have any of my children studying in that school.
Whilst the young girl in the video showed extreme decorum and restraint (and should be commended), if it were any of my children, the scenario would not go without a fight in exercise of self defense However, I have myself reported the incident to law enforcement because it could have been anybody’s daughter, since violence and bullying is not acceptable in our society.
I was equally told by someone who thought she was my daughter and acted before chatting me, by contacting the so-called school and that the school claimed both girls are minors and therefore should be treated as such.
If a school can say that, you can imagine what they are teaching the students.
