The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lift Above Poverty Organisation LAPO Group, Dr Godwin Ehigiamusoe, has disclosed that the organisation would be honouring 633 of its employees who have completed between 10 and 25 years of continuous service across the LAPO Eco-system in 2024.
He added that 37 other staff of the LAPO Group will be rewarded with performance-driven Best Staff Awards with automatic promotion.
Ehigiamusoe, made the disclosure at the 2023 annual Lapo Staff Long service and Meritorious award ceremony in Benin city, Edo state.
He said the award ceremony is aimed at celebrating hardworking and dedicated staff members who have served the organisation diligently and conscientiously over the years
“I am exceedingly delighted to welcome you to this year’s Annual LAPO Staff Long Service and Meritorious Award ceremony holding today.
“LAPO prides herself on the strong work ethics of her staff who are diligent, reliable, hardworking and committed to the continuous growth and success of the organisation.
“The objective of this annual award ceremony, as may know, is the conscious and deliberate efforts to recognize and celebrate our diligent, committed, hardworking and loyal staff members”
Continuing: “The award ceremony therefore represents an opportunity for us to celebrate our hardworking and dedicated staff members who have served the organization diligently and conscientiously for 30 years or more.
“This year, a total of 633 employees who have completed 10, 15, 20, and 25 of continuous service across the LAPO eco-system shall be honoured while 37 staff shall receive performance-driven Best Staff Awards with automatic promotion.
“We wish to reaffirm unwavering commitment to the wellbeing and welfare of our staff as we strive to create an enabling environment that does not only enhance the professional growth of the employees but also nurtures their personal well-being”, he said
In her address, the President of the LAPO Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Mrs. Lilian Ehigiamusoe, said the award ceremony was organised to encourage high performance, instill competitive spirit and celebrate committed staff who have contributed immensely to the progress of institutions within the Group.
“Today’s occasion provides a unique opportunity to appreciate and reward the enormous contributions of our colleagues who have served meritoriously in the last 25 years and more.
“The recognition is in continuation of the organisation’s laudable tradition of excellence”, she posited
