Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Bello (Obe), has been declared the winner of the local council polls.
Bello who with the victory has been re-elected for the second term in office as the chairman of the local council polled 10,090 votes out of total vote counts of 10,900 to defeat his major opponent, Hon. Rasheed Otegbola of the PDP who secured 789 votes while the Youth Progressive Party (YPP) polled 21 votes without fielding any candidate for the election.
Having secured the highest number of votes required, the greater percentage of the total vote counts, Bello was declared the winner by the Returning Officer and is returned as the elected chairman of the council area.
