Kwara gov’s wife, Bola Are, others honoured at Fiyin Folu concert

The city of Ibadan was set agog, last Saturday when the Kwara State governor’s wife, Mrs Omolewa Ahmed, led other dignitaries, royal father, gospel artistes, among others, to grace the 2017 edition of praise concert tagged: Fiyin Folu (Praise the Almighty), an annual concert organised by ace gospel artistes, Evangelist Bukola Akinade, (a.k.a) Senwele Jesu.

Held at the auditorium of the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC Lion of Judah, Decengolf, Ibadan, Oyo State, was filled to its capacity as purpose of the event was indeed achieved to ‘give God undiluted praises’.

One of the highpoints was an award presentation to dignitaries, including, Mrs Ahmed, who was honoured amid cheers for her immense contribution to the growth of the gospel music industry. Other awardees include a Oba Sunday Ekundayo, Oluroye of Iroko, Ekiti; gospel veteran, Evangelist Bola Are, among others.

The event also witnessed special performances by gospel artistes including Bola Are, Taiwo, Kehinde Adegbodu, the anchor, Senwele Jesu and Fiyin Folu mass choir.

In her remarks, Senwele Jesu appreciated everyone that made the event a success, adding “I am very delighted and grateful to God for the manifestation of this vision. It is indeed a vision to give God undiluted praise and I am glad that He manifested Himself in the concert.”
