Last Saturday, when Tuface Idibia’s wife Annie Idibia celebrated her 37th birthday, she took to her Instagram page @annieidibia1 to tender a public apology to her husband following the altercation that occurred between her, Tuface, and Pero his baby mama.
The lengthy Instagram caption accompanied with pictures of her and Tuface, in which Annie poured out her heart to her husband and family, read;

Hours after Annie made her post, Pero did not waste any time to release a lawsuit, demanding that Annie Idibia tenders an apology, retract her libellous statements and pay damages to the tune of 500 million naira.
The lawsuit, which was served on the 10th of November, included a statement from Pero’s lawyers referencing Annie’s outburst on Instagram and an audiotape that went viral weeks ago, in which Annie alleged that Tuface packed his bags and went to America to see Pero and his kids with her. Pero’s lawyers stated that the allegations were “blatantly false, misrepresented facts and portrayed Pero as an individual with loose morals”. They further accused Annie of engaging in “malicious and libellous online publication” which subjected Pero and her kids to online harassment and bullying.
Tuface on the other hand, who had been in the middle of Pero and Annie’s fight, after the lawsuit was filed, released a picture of he and Annie on his Instagram page @official2baba with the caption;
Untop my/we/our pain dem want to claim say dem holy #raindrops. Together or not, It shall be well. Nobody be God.
Journalist and social media critic, Dr Kemi Olunloyo has also weighed in on Pero serving Annie court papers, and it is safe to say the self-appointed President of Baby Mamas Association of Nigeria had some choice words for her. In a caption released on her Instagram page, @drkemiolunloyo, she wrote to Pero;
Annie does not owe you a penny let alone N500M for defamation and libel. Annie has apologised because she did so under pressure. I questioned that before this post. Now you’re serving her court papers on her birthday. How heartless and tasteless. As the long time President of BMAN (Baby Mamas Association of Nigeria) you have totally disgraced us. We do NOT get involved in our baby daddy’s marital section. All we want is our child support and bonding for the kids especially from the deadbeats. You have chosen clout to remain in the news. Leave Annie alone to enjoy her marriage, respect yourself and your kids for Tuface. Their school staff and classmates are laughing behind them not to mention your neighbours and the whole internet. Baby mamas must put the kids first. Tuface ain’t gonna marry you. Accept that he chose Annie. The timing of your court papers stink. Wise up, be mature. It’s getting ridiculous dear. Annie Macaulay – Idibia is the only Mrs Idibia. Give them space. To all the useless media outlets like Premium Times using poor journalistic standards like “most prominent baby mama” should stop the crap. Let the couple be. Pero don’t flood the internet with this foolishness because the internet never forgets.
An earlier statement from Kemi Olunloyo on her Twitter page Journalist Dr Kemi Olunloyo conveyed her displeasure of Annie’s apology to Tuface. Her tweet read;
Actress Annie Idibia just apologized to her husband TuFaceaka 2baba, for the heartbreak her actions have caused him. She even apologized to her family and fans…… FOR WHAT EXACTLY? She hasn’t done anything wrong. In my opinion she wads fighting to hold on to her man and there’s nothing wrong in protecting her marriage unit from baby mamas and pesky relatives”.
Whether or Not Pero’s lawsuit to Annie spells doom for her and Tuface is yet to be known, and Annie is yet to comment on the recent development.
