“All the courses that take them abroad are available here in the Country, there is no reason for spending millions of dollars on one person while such an amount of money can easily pay for twenty Students studying same course here in Nigeria”
Universities like ABU Zaria, UDU Sokoto, KSUSTA, FEDUNI, B/K and many others are offering courses in medicine and para-medical studies, why then do we waste our scares resources on them? He asked.
According to the Commissioner, only three out of twenty Students studying in Egypt could pass their courses and proceed to 200 levels, the remaining had to repeat their classes, what a colossal waste! He argued.
Gov Nasir Idris’ vision and mission in transforming higher education, and his determination to ensure that the youths benefit in his education agenda, sponsoring students within and outside the country is for the educational development of the state.
Alhaji Tunga therefore commended the gesture of the governor for paving the way for the youths to prosper intellectually and to his unflinching commitment to youth development in the state.
