Nagoda’s resignation was contained in a letter, dated August 4, 2018, addressed to Secretary to the Kano State Government.
However, Nagoda failed to state specific reasons for his decision to resign from government.
The letter read, “I regret to write and inform you my resignation as Special Assistant to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State on Graveyards.

“I thank His Excellency for giving me this opportunity to work with him and the entire people of Kano State. I hope you will convey my resignation to His Excellency.”
Nagoda’s letter of resignation came at about the same time that the state’s deputy governor, Professor Hafiz Abubakar also announced his resignation from government.
The former deputy governor had alluded to “unjustifiable humiliation without a reason other than principled position on issues of government and the desire to keep the government on track” as reason for his resignation.
