#JusticeForMrsAbuh: Nigerians demand justice for slain PDP women leader in Kogi

Following the pockets of violence that marred the conduct of the election in Kogi state, where scores were injured and a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) women leader burnt to death, many aggrieved Nigerians have taken to the social media, especially on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to call on the Nigerian government to ensure justice is served.

Mrs Acheju Abuh, the women leader of Wada Aro campaign council, Ochadamu, in Kogi state, was burnt alive in her home by suspected political thugs.

The suspected thugs, it was gathered, invaded her home, locked all exits in the house and poured petrol before setting the place on fire. In this melee, other houses also got burnt.

While the Kogi police command had come out to say the burning of Mrs Abuh was a reprisal, some advocacy groups and well-meaning Nigerians have condemned her killings and demanded an investigation into her death.
