Chairman of Iperu Mini Stadium Committee (IMSC), Otunba Ibrahim Oladipupo, has charged Iperu royal fathers and other stakeholders to allow the purpose of the Akesan Day celebration to always reflect in their attitude and character towards Iperu and humanity in general.
Otunba Oladipupo gave the charge in a release signed by his Liaison Officer and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Temitope Oyekan, to felicitate the Alaperu of Iperu, Oba Adeleke Adelekan Idowu-Basibo on this year’s Akesan Day celebration, coming up tomorrow, November 30.
This year’s edition of the communal celebration is the 38th in the series, an event which has fostered communal development and engender peaceful coexistence and harmonious interaction/relationship among indigenes and residents of Iperu.
The chairman also felicitated with all Iperu royal fathers; the Iperu Development Association (IDA), Akesan Day Planning Committee, indigenes of Iperu-Remo, at home and in the diaspora, as well as residents of the community.
“As we celebrate Akesan Day which symbolises our communal heritage, I urge everyone to continually spread the message of love, peace, unity and togetherness, and also strive towards promoting the growth and development of Iperuland,” Oladipupo said.
He also used the medium to congratulate the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who is the host, and an illustrious son of Iperu; the father of the Day, Sir Kesington Adebutu; while he equally welcomes to Iperu, the Chairman of the occasion, governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma as special guests.
Others expected at the event are of honour; National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Abullahi Ganduje Mai Mala BUNI, Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Bini and Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Sakiraki.
