Sulaiman Aisha Ewawunmi who is well known for her beauty and unique body shape on Twitter said she had no plan of becoming a social media influencer until it happened in 2020.
The 24-year-old influencer who hails from Kogi State was born and bred in Lagos State, and also studied Home Economics and Food Science at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) made this known in an exclusive interview with Tribune Online.
She said, “I’m just this kind of person that loves posting my pictures and engaging people on Twitter because I really don’t know much about being an influencer then, but fortunately, my pictures paved a way for me, they were everywhere and they got both positive and negative engagements, and as a result of this, I got more followers.
“I have worked with different brands like Pepsi, Mtn, Itel, Dano, Xiaomi, and many more. Also with different artistes, the likes of Rema, Bella Shmurda, Oxlade, Adekunle Gold, Davido and others.
“It has been amazing and at the same time challenging, there are lots of ups and downs, its not really easy to create content most times especially when you want to give your clients the best, but you just have to keep doing it because it’s something I love to do, something that is in me but never realised it on time, even though it is not what I planned to do.”
She stated that giveaway is another thing that made her popular, adding, “I do it a lot when some people come to me to ask for help, with a lot of them seeing me as their role model.
“To me, influencing means a way of positively or negatively impacting peoples’ lives, so it now depends on the one you choose, making people understand that this brand I’m promoting is something they should try or something I’m talking about is worth giving a trial, that way you are influencing them,” she said.
She also made it known that her greatest influencing weapon is to create comfort and be herself at all times, do whatever feels right and never let what others say gets to her.
Aisha while speaking on the #EndSARS protest asserted that it was a very horrible moment.
“I actually went out to protest, a lot happened that messed me up mentally and emotionally, at a point I had to stay away from Twitter because I couldn’t take on all that was happening, different posts and a lot of people died, in my take, I feel the government still owe us a lot and a lot of answers about who ordered the shooting that night and I really feel sorry for those that lost their loved ones during the protest.”
