Unknown gunmen stormed Danladin Gumel of Sule Tankarkar local government area and kidnapped the 70-year-old mother of the Special Adviser to the Jigawa State Governor on political affairs, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammed Bigman in the early hours of Tuesday.
Report from the state indicated that the criminals who arrived at the village on motorcycles went straight to the residence of the old woman, broke into the house and took her away to an unknown place.

The Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, Bala Zama Senchi, in a telephone conversation with Tribune Online, confirmed the incident, saying, “yes it is true, we on the matter.”
According to the state police commissioner, several police officers have been deployed to the surrounding towns and villages to locate the hiding place of the abductors.
Senchi said the kidnappers have contacted the family for ransom.
