A non- governmental organisation, Governance Searchlight, on Wednesday, said it is set to confer a special recognition award on a member of House of Representative representing Mushin 2 Constituency, Honourable Bolaji Yusuf Ayinla and his wife, Mrs Titilope Ayinla.
The award, “Legislator Per Excellence,” according to the organization, will be conferred on the lawmaker on Thursday as part of activities in marking his birthday.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the group, Otunba Tokunbo Babs-Olurinde, disclosed in a signed statement by the Publicity Secretary of the organization, Cornelius Kayode, saying that the federal lawmaker popularly addressed as BYA was nominated for the award following a close monitoring of his achievements both during first term and ongoing second term as representative of Mushin 2 Constituency of Lagos State at Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to Babs-Olurinde, the organization found Hon Ayinla so outstanding, saying he had excelled in areas such as empowerment, distribution of educational materials and tools for artisans in his constituency, among others.
“We in Governance Searchlight have deeply followed all what Hon Ayinla has been doing not only presently but since his days at the Lagos State House of Assembly. Following our research and close monitoring, members of the Governance Searchlight found Hon BYA very outstanding among his peers in the entire South- West and unique in his approach to governance and exemplary style of leadership that, we cannot but recognize him,” he said.
Babs-Olurinde said the feat performed by the honourable had no doubt distinguished him as true and highly committed representative of his people.
She affirmed that “the organization were proud to associate and identify with the style of leadership of BYA, hence the special recognition Award: Legislator Per Excellence.”
