KOCEMPA, the umbrella body for practicing journalists in Kogi Central, reaffirmed its continued support for Governor Bello’s efforts to improve Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
The group also lauded Governor Bello for his visionary leadership, which contributed to the emergence of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, who is building upon the achievements of his predecessor.
“God has guided you to give the people of Kogi a strong leader in Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. He is doing well in consolidating your achievements and paving the way for new progress,” the statement read.
KOCEMPA concluded by affirming that former Governor Bello remains the true hero of modern democracy and governance in Kogi, having laid a solid foundation for the state’s all-around development.

This followed the former governor’s not guilty plea to the 19-count charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bello is facing an alleged money laundering trial involving N80 billion, but he has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
