Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, extends deep sympathy to residents and shop owners opposite the Niger State Transport Authority (NSTA) garage, Tunga, Minna, on Monday afternoon over an inferno that destroyed property worth millions of Naira.
The Governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, acknowledged that it is a tragic and trying moment for the victims of the fire disaster, adding that he shares in their pains.
He, however, encourages the victims to take solace in God and deepen their faith in Him, as He would bless them beyond what they have lost to the fire disaster.
The Governor, who observes an increase in fire outbreaks, especially in the Minna metropolis, stresses the need for relevant MDAs to carry out sensitisation to prevent or reduce to the barest minimum fire incidents.
While empathising with the victims of the disaster, the governor assures them of government support through relevant MDAs to cushion the effect of the tragedy.
