THE President/Vice-Chancellor, Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, Professor Dayo Alao, has charged fresh students of the institution to do their utmost in the pursuit of excellence in their academic careers.
Prof. Alao gave the charge on Friday at the university’s ninth matriculation ceremony where he formally welcomed about 615 students into the six existing faculties of the institution.
According to him, at Adeleke University, the promotion of academic excellence, integrity and moral uprightness are a matter of principle, just as he stressed that studentship at the university “calls for responsibility, accountability and devotion.

The vice-chancellor commended the parents, guardians and sponsors for making a huge sacrifice in sending their children and wards to Adeleke University and thanked the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr Adedeji Adeleke, for his commitment to the growth of the university.
The ceremony was attended by parents of the matriculating students, the university’s principal officers and invited guests.
The university, which began operation in March 2011, presently runs 32 undergraduate and 38 postgraduate programmes.
