The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) will be graduating 201 first class students for the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 academic sessions.
This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kolawole Salako, during a press conference for the 28th and 29th Combined Convocation ceremonies, held at the university, on Tuesday.
Salako flanked by other principal officers of the university noted that the university produced 3,202 and 2,696 graduates for the two academic sessions respectively.
He explained that 106 students graduated with first-class; 1,316 with second class upper; 1,429 in the second lower division; 310 with third class and 11 with pass degrees for the 2018/2019 session.
While 2,696 graduates were produced in the 2019/2020 session, with 95 in first-class; 1096 in second class upper; 1303 with second class; 172 third class and three with pass degrees.
The VC also added that 450 postgraduate degrees were awarded in 2018/2019 and 272 in 2019/2020 academic sessions.

Professor Salako said further that the institution had full accreditation in 27 programmes.
Salako who will be completing his term as the VC of the institution explained that the school had enjoyed relative peace under his administration due to cooperation and support from within and outside the university community.
He acknowledged the contributions of some distinguished Nigerians to the development of the university, with the inauguration of building projects after them.
Earlier the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon, who doubles as the Chancellor of the institution, inaugurated five monumental projects named after the former president, Chief (Dr) Olusegun Obasanjo; Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka; the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Suleiman Ellias Bogoro; former Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor T.O. Tayo and former VC of the school, late Professor Israel Adu.
