As the party kicked off it 2019 campaign on Friday, the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been named the co-chairman of the party’s Presdential Campaign Council, alongside President Muhammadu Buhari as the council chairman.
In the long list of members also include Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and oil magnate, Femi Otedola, named as members of the Advisory Committee of Presidential Campaign Council of All Progressive Congress (APC).
A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on media and publicity, Femi Adviser, in Abuja, also named Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole are deputy chairmen of the council.
The Advisory Committee which has Osinbajo as its chairmen, also has as members, Asiwaju Tinubu, Senator Ahmed Lawan (Senate Leader), Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (Leader of the House) and Oshiomole.
The appointment of Otedola has laid to rest the recent rumour that he may be working for the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) consequent upon a recent rumour that he was planning to contest as candidate of the PDP for governorship in Lagos State.
