THE Oyo State government has declared that the state command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has raised the bar in ensuring and improving the welfare of its customers.
The state deputy governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo, said this while speaking at the commissioning of the newly-built waiting room for applicants for drivers’ licence at the FRSC Office, State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
He said, the commission, by building the waiting room, would save drivers’ licence applicants the agonies of waiting under the sun and rain while their applications were being processed.
The deputy governor also restated the commitment of the government to the welfare of the people of the state, adding that a pointer to that was the approval given to FRSC to build the waiting room.
In her address at the event, the Oyo State Sector Commander, Kike Alao, said the waiting room was in line with the FRSC 2018 Strategic Goal 4 which aimed at promoting ‘ease of doing business and stakeholders’ cooperation’.

“Let me also remind all that we must constantly secure our facilities as we improve on our infrastructure. Our customers must be satisfied and their testimonies to this, clear-cut,” she said.
The FRSC sector commander also disclosed that the multi-million naira office complex of the commission at Eleyele, Ibadan would be commissioned before the end of the third quarter of the year.
She charged all stakeholders to put all the facilities in good use, assuring that the FRSC would be guided by the principles of justice, peace and development of the country in all its dealings with the public.
