He, therefore, announced that the FCT administration would partner with the Nigeria Traders for President Muhammadu Buhari (NTPMB) to reach out to about 1000 people for a medical check-up, as well as market and town hall sensitisations.
Malam Bello, who stated this while receiving members of NTPMB in his office in Abuja, further said the administration would grant the organisation access to all markets under the authority of FCTA for the purpose of the exercise.
The minister, while saying the guidelines for such would be adhered to strictly, therefore, directed relevant Secretariats, Departments and Agencies (SDAs) to work with the group towards the realisation of the laudable programme.
Earlier, the National Coordinator of the group, Prince Paul Ikonne who was in company of the group’s Secretary, Halima MD, said the visit was to solicit the support of the FCTA for the various programmes the group had lined up to bring together all traders and galvanise support for President Buhari ahead of 2019 elections.

Prince Ikonne said the group plans on public enlightenment, free medical checks and town hall meetings to sensitise traders on the laudable policies and programmes of the President Buhari led administration aimed at the overall development of the masses and the need for his re-election come 2019.
He said the group plans on reaching out to at least 1000 people at each market visited, starting with the Kuje Market in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
He lamented that most traders did not have time to listen to news and hardly were sensitised on government laudable programmes aimed at uplifting their lives, hence the need for the sensitisation, which includes free eye check and glasses, HIV and malaria tests as well as town hall meetings.
