The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Police Force has made a significant breakthrough in its ongoing investigation into the tragic attack on the Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village, Orozo, which resulted in the unfortunate death of one of the campers, Johnson John.
It was previously reported by the Nigerian Tribune on March 31, 2025, that a young Igala graduate, Johnson John, was allegedly killed by suspected herdsmen in Zhayidna, near Angwar Hakimi, Orozo, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while attending a Boys’ Brigade camp.

In a statement issued to the press on Thursday in Abuja, the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, quoted the FCT Commissioner of Police, Ajao Adewale, as saying: “Acting on credible intelligence and digital tracking conducted on the mobile phones of the deceased, the Divisional Police Officer of Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang, led a team of police operatives who trailed and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident. The suspects arrested include Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village, Karshi.
“At the time of arrest, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased. The suspects are in custody and will be charged in court at the conclusion of the investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, psc, mnips, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to conducting a thorough and uncompromising investigation.
“The Command deeply appreciates the continued cooperation of residents, community leaders, and youth stakeholders, and urges the public to remain calm and law-abiding.”
