THE Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Ministerial Task Team, on Tuesday night, apprehended a commercial motorcyclist who was busy carrying passengers from Mararaba in Nasarawa State to Asokoro in the heart of Abuja, driving against traffic at very high speed through kugbo.
Chairman of the task team, Attair Ikharo, who disclosed this, said the team has been urging the motorcyclists to comply with the rules and regulations guiding the FCT.

He said the erring motorcyclist cried out his life, begging in tears, but with the senior military personnel and others persons, who pleaded on his behalf, the team had to release him out of sympathy.
Ikharo said the essence of the exercise is not to impound the motorcycle which seems to be his source of livelihood but to get him to obey traffic rules and avoid restricted areas.
The chairman added that the motorcycle later released to him after he promised never to break traffic laws again.
