Fashion entrepreneur wins N100,000 grant to scale her business

Entrepreneur and on-air personality (OAP), Winifred Edoze, has been announced as the winner of the March edition of the Aunty Chichi N100,000 monthly business grant for her fashion business Store Hertillery.

The founder of the business grant, Chinemenma Umeseaka − popularly known as Aunty Chichi – made this known on Thursday through her verified Facebook page.

The Aunty Chichi N100,000 monthly Business Grant is a monthly business empowerment initiative of Umeseaka, a media executive and special adviser to the immediate past Abia State governor on teenage matters.

Umeseaka noted that she has known Edoze since 2014 and has watched her grow from the young naive girl she was then to the super confident girl she is now, adding that she has gone through a lot, but still finds a way to keep her head up.

“Today, Winnie is the winner of this non-refundable grant because, beyond her loyalty, commitment, dedication, and growth, she currently has tremendously pushed her online fashion brand to the front,” Umeseaka said.

Congratulating Edoze further, Umeseaka added, Now, if you can multiply this N100,000 seed money effectively, you stand a chance of me investing 1 million naira in your business by December 2024.”

Edoze is a television and radio personality and an affiliate marketer. Her business, Store Hertillery, is a one-stop fashion store where she sells a variety of clothes, shoes, and bags. According to her, her store caters to the needs of prospective corps members − crested vests, caps, belts, and tailor-fitted khakis.

Edoze, a graduate of Ambrose Alli University, currently won an opportunity at the prestigious CyberGirls Fellowship to study vulnerability assessment and penetration testing in cyber security.

Umeseaka seized the opportunity to encourage young people to submit their business proposals to her.

“Please don’t play up emotions with me. It’s strictly for existing business owners who think N100,000 could help their business get ahead,” she added.
