They said the inclusion of facility management in the construction of critical infrastructures, will assist the Federal Government FG, as well as private investors, save the high cost of maintenance of these infrastructures.
The Managing Director, Total Facilities Management Ltd (TFML) Mrs Nwando Chukwurah stated this at a press conference jointly organised by the firm and Max-Migold company to kick-start a world-class facility management training for stakeholders in Abuja.
She expressed worries over the rapid dilapidation of government-owned assets due to a neglect of facility management inclusion in Nigeria, urging the government and investors at all levels to embrace facility management scheme.
While reiterating the need for government’s involvement, she said adequate management of core infrastructures will reduce preventable accidents and maintenance costs
The MD affirmed that the training will help Nigeria facilities management practitioners compete globally and help promote Nigeria’s local contents in the face of global communities.
