•hails Wike’s developmental strides in FCT
The Minority Leader of the 9th Senate, Senator Philip Aduda has called on residents of the FCT to continue to support President Bola Ahmed and his government.
He said “As a politician, after the election, it is governance and it is in our interest as Nigerians to support the President irrespective of political parties we belong to.”
Senator Aduda also hailed the developmental strides of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike, describing him as a “miracle worker.”
Aduda made the call during the 13-year memorial prayers of his late mother, Mrs Jummai Aduda at his Karu family residence in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) on Monday.
He said supporting and praying for President Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike will ensure that Nigerians, especially residents of the FCT continue to feel the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.
The former Senate Minority Leader said “it is a fact no one can challenge that a lot of achievements have been recorded since President Tinubu made Wike the FCT Minister and both the Minister and the President deserve commendation.
“The minister has not only transformed the city centre, but the satellite towns of the six area councils are witnessing tremendous infrastructural developments.
“It was under the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that for the first time, the people of the FCT now have a representative at the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
“Also, for the first time, the FCT has an autonomous civil service, with an indigenous Head of Service.
“We can also see the developmental projects across the area councils and rural communities as well as infrastructure all over the city centre of Abuja.
“Therefore, the best we can do is for the people of the FCT to continue to pray and support the policies of the present government so that they benefit more from the dividends of democracy.”
At the memorial prayer service were former Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Hon Ezekiel Musa Dalhatu, PDP Chairman in the FCT, Alhaji Ismaila Mohammed Yenche, chairmen of Kwali and Abaji, Abubakar Umar Abdullahi and Danladi Chiya among other friends and relations of Aduda’s family.
