I am using this medium to call on the relevant authorities to restore Orolu state constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly in accordance with relevant provisions of the constitution and in compliance with the substantive court order.
We have exploited all available constitutional means to call the attention of the electoral body on same issue. Also, we have formally informed the office of the Attorney General of the Federation and National Assembly on the need to preserve the integrity of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The issue of suppressed Orolu State Constituency is not only unfair to our people but a clear aberration to section 112 of our constitution. Our demand from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is not a favour in any sense but legitimate as supported by the constitution and a valid court.
Therefore, we are pleading with the relevant state authorities to do the needful. This intervention will further deepen our democracy in the interest of fairness, justice and strict adherence to the laws of our land.
