In order to have an hitch-free Eid-El-Kabir celebration, the Ogun State Police Command has promised 24-hours patrol on major highways across the state.
This was contained in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, that policemen have equally been deployed to various praying centres and event centres to ensure adequate security of lives and property.
The PPRO said the Command is fully on ground to provide robust security arrangement during and after the celebration.
The statement reads, “In view of this, large scale and elaborate tactical, as well as covert Policemen, have been strategically deployed by the Commissioner of Police Cp Bashir Makama across the length and breadth of the State with a clear mandate of ensuring crime-free Sallah celebration.

“Men of Special units such as SARS, PMF, Tactical Response and Intelligence units; Anti Kidnapping and Cultism sections have also been deployed to nip in the bud any violent crime that may want to rear its ugly head. 24hrs surveillance patrols have also been ordered around the various praying ground as well as event/recreation centres across the State.
” All our highway such as Lagos-Ibadan express road, Benin-Sagamu-Ore, Lagos-Abeokuta express road and other highways are been properly patrol to ensure that travellers plying the roads are well secured.”
