Managing Director of the company, Mr Dai Ding Ping, who spoke to journalists at the exhibition of his firm’s products in Benin City, therefore urged investors to come to the state.
He, however, regretted that there were no small-scale industries that produce raw materials needed for the manufacturing of some categories of furniture in the country.
Ding Ping noted that no firm would import materials into the country if companies were available to produce the materials.
He therefore urged the federal government to boost Nigeria business environment by encouraging small scale businesses
He said the firm’s exhibition was to test the market in Edo and described the place ‘as very good’.
Ding Ping noted that plans were on to open warehouses and showroom for its products in the state after the exhibition.
The Life mate boss said the firm sponsored para table tennis tournament during the period of the exhibition as a way of giving back to the people.
He said prices would be given to winners of the tournament at the end of the exhibition.
His words, “This location is very good. Many people are interested in our furniture. We produced our products here. If we can get the materials, we produced here.
“Government can help to make economy become better. Many materials we cannot get here, we import them. I hope Nigeria business environment become better and best so that many small companies can produce for us.
“We can then make a chain and buy from here. We hope to get all our materials from the Nigeria market. We do not want to import anything from China or any other countries. We will do our best to make our products affordable but we place high premium on good quality.”
